Helicopter Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter flying near a crowded California coastline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.
Recordings uploaded on social media capture the helicopter starting to spin over the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five persons were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
